10 reps, 90 lbs, no sweat... no movement, either...

Well, for those of you who still read this blog (2 people, probably) but don't talk to me (narrows that to 1) I started a new workout regimen with an old college buddy as a desire to get healthy and stop hearing the question "Who made your fat suit?"

I've had to kill too many people.

So yes, I'm working out again - of course it's going to go a bit slower this time seeing as I weigh more this time than the last time I worked out this way, and it's not being bolstered by walking to classes every day, or to a dining hall, etc. Of course, by the same token I don't eat buffets anymore, and I should be able to limit the soft-drink consumption which was a big part of my problem.

I just don't know how I did this to myself - well, maybe I do and I'm ashamed to admit it. In fall of 2001 I managed to drop from 280 lbs down to 250 lbs in not quite two months, and dropped a bit further so that I was riding around the 245 mark or so. I was down to wearing size 36 pants again with a fair level of comfort, I was starting to wear size 17 shirts (which was truly a blessing), I got sick less (sans food poisoning from Erie dining hall) and I managed to have a LOT more energy for going to classes.

The big problem was, I stopped - initially because I was on winter break, but even worse, that was the winter where we had the bad snow fall (yeah, in Buffalo, saying we had a bad snow fall means 72 inches or more in one day) and after an incident involving a transmission on my dad's truck, I got depressed, stopped exercising and went back to soft drinks.

So I'm back at it again. This time I want to keep it going and get down to 220lbs - I have a ways to go. I'm starting around 325. I'm going to do it though. And then people will stop asking me about the fat suit... I hope.

An Accurate Representation...

This is brief. Very brief. And I want you to understand that I really did actually enjoy the first few seasons of this show. But this is an accurate representation of everything since Fall of 2004.
