Weather, or not...
I love the heat. I love it a lot. When I think about it, I've come to realize that, no matter what I end up doing for a living, I will be mostly happy as long as the place I live in has a warm climate, year-round. Maybe it's the result of seeing Florida so many times in the middle of what is, for Western New York, Hell Frozen Over. I mean, you go to Florida in the middle of winter, and what happens? You get on a plane in dreary weather. You get off the plane three or four hours later and BAMM - there's palm trees lazily swaying in the warm breezes. And if at some point it's too hot for you, you go inside to the Air Conditioned comfort of your kitchen and grab a cool beverage, and you're good to go.
The only real drawback, so far as I can determine, about living in Florida, is that you'll have a roach-control bill that numbers over a thousand every year (and that doesn't mean killing the things... it just means sedating them). But other than that, and a population that can't vote (what comes after 25,463?), South Florida is my idea of a dream place. I mention this as a prelude to my determination to move to that place of sun and warmth. You see, I'm only a year away from graduation from college (a year... just one)... but I have one or two courses that might become sticking points in my graduating. So I face a dillema here... do I really want to risk having to stick around an extra summer and semester in Buffalo so I can finish those two courses?
{Looks outside at the rain and general drabness} Florida will be worth it. OH BOY will it be worth it.
